In 2021, Nevada Legislature adopted the Nevada Antler Shed Hunting law, shed hunting is prohibited from January 1st - April 30th. As of May 1st to June 30th shed hunting collection is allowed with a free certification. Those wanting to shed hunt must obtain a permit from the ranch office as well.
The broad topography of the Winecup Gamble Ranch(es) provides an array of wildlife such as mule deer, pronghorn, antelope, elk, coyote, fox, cougar, bobcat, beaver and badger all sharing their home on the range with our cowherd. In addition, numerous waterfowl find refuge in the cattails and shallow waters of the Thousand Springs drainage. Along with waterfowl, chukar partridges are another game bird that can be found on the ranch, offering an excellent upland bird hunting challenge.
With our current population of over 1,800 head of elk, hunting is a strong attraction for sportsman of Northeastern Nevada. It is for this reason that we have partnered with Western Wildlife Adventures as one of the largest mule deer, elk and antelope outfitters in this area of Nevada. The hunts create memorable and quality experiences that last a lifetime.
